When It Comes To Technology, The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry Is An Off-Road Car

The Latest Backcountry Wrangler

The 4xe Backcountry adds more off-road accessories and more high-tech features to the already luxurious and comfy 4xe Sahara trim. The Sahara comes standard with heated seats, leather upholstery, and an optional 12.3-inch touchscreen.

In the 4xe Backcountry, there is a nine-speaker Alpine sound system and a portable Jeep power box. The power box can use the hybrid battery pack to power small tools or charge devices.

Both the 4xe Backcountry and the 4xe Sahara have a 12.3-inch touchscreen panel for navigation. For those who like to explore, the infotainment system has geocaching software and off-road route plans for 62 Jeep Badge of Honor trails. The 4xe Backcountry has Wi-Fi built in, so you don’t have to worry about being cut off from the internet like some Jeep owners do.

Along with some nicer electronics, the Backcountry also gets some important off-road parts. Rock rails on the door sills, a Mopar grille guard, and steel bumpers on both ends help prevent damage from rocks from getting through. A front trail camera on the Backcountry lets you see what’s coming up ahead, so you don’t have to go bashing in the first place.

Custom matte-black 20-inch wheels with 275/55R-20 General Grabber all-terrain tires give it the best grip on any surface. The body-colored three-piece roof can be taken off and on. The hood, fenders, and rear swing gate all have Backcountry stickers to make them look the same. The towing tools include a receiver hitch, auxiliary switches, and seven- and four-pin wiring harnesses.

Only 5,800 of the Wrangler 4xe Backcountry are left in stock, and it costs $66,185, which is $6,595 more than the 4xe Sahara. Now is your chance to hear what an Alpine sound system sounds like, blasting through a thick forest.
