A Lego Technic set that is 1:10 scale and designed to look like Peugeot’s 9X8 Hybrid Hypercar, which will take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, is now available for purchase.

The model, made up of 1775 pieces, is 5 inches tall, 9 inches wide, and 19.5 inches long. It was made by Lego and Peugeot Sport working together, and from the pictures, they did a great job of copying the car’s appearance as a sleek, futuristic racer. Our favorite parts are the ones on the front that light up in the dark and make the Lego Technic 9X8 look more authentic.

Not just the design, which Lego did a great job with; the company was also able to put a model of the V-6 engine, which drives the back wheels, and a model of the electric motor, which causes the front wheels, even though there is no battery power.

“Our two brands have come together to make a product that features a hybrid of racing and engineering.” The constructor reflected on the difficulty of making the hypercar’s intricate shapes and details out of Lego Technic bricks, saying, “It was not easy to make the shapes and details of such a beautiful car out of Lego Technic pieces, It was an honor to work in such creative tandem with Team Peugeot TotalEnergies, and I’m happy with the results of our efforts. The hypercar for real out of Lego Technic pieces together.”

Starting May 1, the Technic 9X8 will cost $199.99 at Lego shops and online.
