• BFGoodrich’s All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire will take over from the famous KO2.
  • At the moment, the new KO3 comes standard on the new Ford Ranger Raptor and some Chevy Silverado 2500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD trucks.
  • As of this month, the KO3 will be available in 13 sizes. According to BFG, over 100 more sizes will be added over the next two years.

Off-roading and overlanding enthusiasts, get ready for a thrilling new era. The iconic KO2 tire has now given way to the highly anticipated BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3, a tire that promises to redefine your off-road experience.

With the release of the KO3, BFGoodrich ends its dominance over the KO2 tire

The numbering shows that the KO3 is the third tire in BFG’s All-Terrain T/A KO line. “KO” stands for “key off-road.” Since the first KO came out ten years ago, the KO2 has become more famous among off-roaders and has been put on a huge number of trucks and SUVs that are ready for the trails. Now, BFG is showing off the KO3, which is supposed to be even better than the KO2.

A BFGoodrich Global General Manager named Harold Phillips said that the KO3 tire was made using information, feedback, technology, and knowledge from the past ten years. “We’ve done a lot of racing and research in the ten years since we launched the KO2 tire,” he said. We chose to make the all-terrain tire better because we are now competing with ourselves. It will be interesting to see what people can do at work and play with the KO3 tire.

BFG proudly presents the KO3, a tire that not only enhances wear performance and resilience on gravel roads but also provides superior snow grip. Retaining the strong sidewall and loose-surface grip of its predecessor, the KO3 outlasts on dirt roads thanks to a new tire compound used uniquely.

It is said that the “Mud-Phobic Bars” and sharpened shoulder have been changed to make them work better in mud and snow. The KO3 has the same grade for severe snow as the last tire, which was called Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake. The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, some 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HDs, and the 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD all come with the KO3 system as standard.

BFG is committed to meeting your diverse needs. Over the next two years, we plan to offer more than 100 sizes of the KO3, ensuring that there’s a perfect fit for every vehicle. Starting with 13 sizes in May, we’ll gradually expand our range, with 17 in August, 5 in October, and more than 50 by 2025. The KO3 is already available in sizes LT285/70R-17 and LT275/65R-20 at TireRack, ready to cater to your off-roading adventures.
