There is a chance that the Suzuki Jimny farm will grow more illegal fruit in the future. There are only two types of the fourth-generation Jimny SUV right now: a three-door model that came out in 2019 and an “XL” model with five doors that came out the year before. The small but powerful 4×4 will get a truck, an electric version, and a hybrid version in the future.

An Australian newspaper called CarSales says that Suzuki will release a Jimny E.V. in 2030. However, a hybrid type will be available sooner. There might be a Jimny that was made to be sold all over the world that could bring the Might Boy name back to life. That being said, the Mighty Boy was a truck that looked like a car, like the well-known Dodge Rampage and Subaru Brat. Does this mean that a small sports truck is being made?

You can get a Suzuki Jimny Pickup with just one cab

“The project, I would say, is not dead,” said Michael Pachota, Suzuki’s general manager in Australia. “Can you picture a Jimny with nothing at the back and two seats up front?”

We don’t have to guess, though. At the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2019, pictures of a possible Suzuki truck were shown to the public. It’s easy to be fooled by the Jimny Sierra pickup concept’s cute looks. Its 4×4 skills are shown by its bigger fender flares, LED lights on the top, heavier off-road tires, and higher ride height.

The fact that Jimny makes money shows that people all over the world want them very much. He says, “Anything that starts with Jimmy ends with sales.” They have to wait a long time for the three-door Jimny to come in because it is Suzuki’s best-selling car in Australia. The release of the five-door SUV only increased demand.

A Jimny truck would create a global frenzy, though. Instead of waiting for a production version, New Zealand, which is nearby, has decided to start its conversion program. The certified utility cars have a flatbed tray and come in two trim levels.

When the first Jimny pickups will be made in factories needs to be clarified. Also, off-road fans from Australia, Africa, South America, Japan, and India would be the only ones who would be happy to buy it. Suzuki is leaving those markets because of low sales in the U.S. or stricter emissions rules in the U.K. and Europe. This will leave people in those countries in the dark and sad.

However, Suzuki’s return to Europe was limited to selling business vehicles. Suzuki is even less likely to come back to the U.S. The Jimny, like many other foreign cars, wasn’t made with the American market in mind. There are a lot of small SUVs on the market in the U.S., and the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz have given the compact truck market a new lease on life. However, Suzuki will need more than hand-raisers to make a comeback. There are still rules in place, and there is no dealer network. But James Bond fans seem to find a way—or they can wait 25 years longer.
