During his time with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, Michael Jordan had a big collection of cars. He always practiced with a brand-new Porsche, Mercedes, or Ferrari, and his love of fast cars hasn’t gone away. Anyone who worked with Jordan at the NBA or Nike would have done the same thing. Still, there are a few racing cars that Jordan used to own, but he hasn’t kept many of them for long periods. You can buy this 1991 BMW 850i right now on Bring a Trailer.

The E31 850i’s current owner got it in 1995, and it has only driven 30,000 miles since then. But the seller is adding the paperwork that needs to be there, with MJ’s name on it, to show that the GOAT himself drove some of those miles.

You can now own Michael Jordan's BMW 850i, which has a V12 engine and a 6-speed manual transmission

That’s about as stylish as an E31 8 Series can get when it comes to looks. This 850i has a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine and a six-speed manual gear that you can choose to have. Since BMW didn’t add all-wheel drive until the early 1990s, the 375 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque only go to the back wheels. The outside of this car was made a light parchment color with Mauritius blue paint. It could be clearer if Jordan put on the AC Schnitzer body kit and wheels, but they look great.

The BMW 850i was a beautiful car, but it needed to be more reliable because it had a lot of technical problems. But it was also one of the most interesting cars BMW made during its most exciting time. It looks great with its pillarless, edgy, and beautifully aged design. The V12 engine and six-speed manual transmission are also great.

There are still six days left in the sale, and the highest bid is $30,000. Its first owner was the best NBA player of all time; it has low mileage, is in great shape, has great specs, and has some cool AC Schnitzer parts. I could see this one breaking auction records for E31 8 Series cars.
