2024 Volvo V60 Overview

What’s New

  • In 2024, the V60 will still be the same.
  • In 2019, the second version of the Volvo V60s will go on sale.

There isn’t anything else on the market right now that can compare to the Volvo V60 Recharge. This is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), which is another odd type of car. It’s also a luxury wagon, which is rare these days. In addition, it can only be a Polestar Engineered model, which, in Volvo’s words, means speed. To put it another way, the V60 Recharge is a high-end van with a plug-in hybrid engine that focuses on speed. Yes, that is a horse. It has a big battery pack that lets it go 41 miles on electricity alone. When the power goes out, it acts like a normal hybrid.

When the back seats are folded down, the V60 can hold up to 60.5 cubic feet of cargo, which is about the same as a small SUV like the Toyota RAV4. The plug-in hybrid engine works very well if you charge it every day and use its electric range. It gets 31 mpg overall, which is the same as a normal hybrid. The plug-in hybrid technology works well too. The 455 horsepower makes it possible for it to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. Lightweight forging 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, and a sport suspension with Ohlins dampers are some of the features that Polestar Engineered put into the V60. Moreover, it is equipped with all-wheel drive as a standard feature. But the starting price for this strange Volvo car is pretty high.

The V60 plays in a small group of luxury wagons that are mostly made up of tough vehicles with higher ride heights. If you decide to stick with Volvo, you can choose between the V90 Cross Country, which is bigger, and the V60 Cross Country, which is cheaper and lasts longer. The Audi A4 and A6 Allroad wagons and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain car are all made in Germany. But they need to work better and more efficiently than the V60 Recharge. You can choose between the Lincoln Aviator and the Audi Q5 if you want to live in a high-end SUV. Both can use mixed plug-ins.

Pros

  • The PHEV engine has a long electric range and can speed up quickly.
  • Comfortable seats.
  • A lengthy list of common traits.
  • Utility car, which is like an SUV.

Cons

  • It is quite a small cabin with little space for storage.
  • There are a few ways to make it your own.
  • It was only offered as a high-end plug-in hybrid performance model.

The T8 Polestar Engineered is the only V60 Recharge type that you can buy. It comes with a lot of basic safety, technology, and comfort features. Volvo only offers a few options or equipment packages besides basic protection packages. The only ones they do offer are cargo crossbars, a cargo cover, and a back bumper cover.

Types of Volvo V60

Volvo’s 2024 V60 Recharge is a wagon with five seats that is based on the S60 car. There is only one trim level, the T8 Polestar Engineered. A 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged gas engine with an electric motor and an 18.8-kWh plug-in hybrid system makes it go. This mix makes 455 horsepower and 523 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard on the V60 Recharge, and it can go about 41 miles on electricity alone.
