2025 Chrysler Pacifica Overview

What’s new:

  • Possible change in 2025.
  • An important part of the 2017 Pacifica generation.

Since Chrysler only makes minivans left, the 2025 Pacifica is the least expensive choice. Executive comments from the company say that the 2017 Pacifica will almost certainly get major updates for the 2025 model year. Some of the car’s signature features, like the Stow ‘n Go rear seats, should stay, but they should be mixed with newer safety technologies and features.

The modern Pacifica is still competitive in all major areas, even though it is very old. Still, it would be very helpful to have an updated interior with the newest technologies. It might get better features to help you drive and a bigger touchscreen in the middle. We will know for sure when public information comes out, which we expect to happen in the fall.

The Chrysler Pacifica has to compete with some better cars. The Toyota Sienna, after getting a new look, is now only offered as a hybrid car. You could also get a Kia Carnival. The last one in the line is the Honda Odyssey, which may also get an update soon. The Chrysler Pacifica has a plug-in hybrid engine that lets you drive for about 32 miles on electricity alone if you want something even more fuel-efficient.

Pros

  • Easy change from moving people to moving goods.
  • Decor that looks very rich.
  • You can get an all-wheel drive.
  • It is a very good sight everywhere.

Cons

  • The second-row seats are more roomy and cozy than seats in other cars.
  • A nine-speed automatic transmission can move slowly or clunkily at times.
  • It uses more gas than the average car in its class.
  • The build’s quality is subject to significant shifts.

What about how the Pacifica is driven? The Pacifica’s function is just fine. The V6 engine won’t make you laugh, but it won’t let you down either. It stops and speeds up about the same as other cars in its class. This minivan works easily most of the time. Besides that, the handling and driving are bad. Both the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna are great cars to drive.

The nine-speed automatic transmission works as it should most of the time. When going up or down steep hills, we saw that it sometimes got lost and chose a gear that was either higher or lower than what was needed. The driver had a little more work to do than we would have liked.

How does the Pacifica make you feel? Even though the padding in the front seats is stiff, they get more comfy as the trip goes on. You can choose to have great heating and cooling systems for the front seats. However, the second-row Stow ‘n Go seats are less soft than those in other minivans of the same class. Also, they are less adjustable, which means that the legs of the people in the second row have a little less room. There is enough comfort in the third row.

The ride is usually smooth and compliant on a wide range of road conditions. In this way, the Pacifica is the same as other modern minivans, even though it leans forward a lot when the road turns. The V6 engine’s noise is more tolerable than the Pacifica Hybrid’s because it has a more standard automatic transmission instead of a continuously variable transmission. But because the nine-speed gearbox tends to drop extra gears, the engine noise sometimes shows up out of the blue.

How is the state of the inside? The Pacifica is easy to figure out how to use. The climate control and radio buttons are placed in a way that makes them easy for the driver to use. It makes a lot of sense for Chrysler to add more radio level and tuning controls to the back of the steering wheel.

The Pacifica’s high roof, large door spaces, low door sills, and well-placed seats make getting in and out of the car easy. The steering wheel and driver’s seat can be adjusted in many ways. Up front, there is a lot of headroom, and the big windows all around make it easy to see and prevent blind spots. Adding accessories to a 360-degree video device makes it easier to move around in small spaces.

Because the captain’s seats in the second row aren’t very adjustable, the Stow ‘n Go minivan has less space than some others. Adults can fit in the third row for short trips, even though it’s small.

What’s wrong with the tech? The Pacifica’s Uconnect navigation system is the best in terms of features, ease of use, and ability to connect to smartphones. The main thing about it is a big touchscreen that shows bright graphics and reacts quickly to touch and voice commands. It works with smartphone connectivity technologies like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Your devices can connect to a number of USB ports. Mobile web links include pairing Alexa and the Uconnect app, which lets you use your phone to control different parts of the van. You can send media to the van as well with an optional seatback TV system.

Advanced driver aids include adaptive cruise control (which stops and starts on its own without the driver having to do anything), front collision warning with pedestrian recognition, and lane keeping. It is useful to have the choice of a 360-degree camera.

What’s going on with storage? Minivans are useful and make good use of room, which makes them stand out. The Pacifica has a large storage area under the third-row seat, just like its rivals. The third-row seats are easy to fold down by hand, and Chrysler also offers a power-folding option.

The Pacifica stands out because the second row can be used in a variety of ways. The smart Stow ‘n Go seats are easy to fold into the floor. When they are out in action, the storage spaces under the floors can be used to hold more freight. There are pockets, cupholders, and cubbies for all the valuable rocks, bottle caps, and coins that your kids find on the ground.

Car seats are great for kids. The LATCH anchors are easy to reach. You can still access the back seats and child seats that face backward, even though the second-row seats aren’t as flexible as those in the Pacifica Hybrid. Belts work well for kids, especially in booster seats.

The Pacifica can pull up to 3,600 pounds when it is set up correctly. That looks like a car that you can buy elsewhere.

How much fuel does it use? The all-wheel-drive Pacifica should get 20 mpg on the highway and 17 mpg in the city, according to the EPA. That’s one of the lowest scores in the class. A lot of the 115-mile study route was on the highway, where we got an average of 23 mpg. In this case, the EPA’s predictions are right. We got an average of 18 mpg over 500 miles of mixed drive, which could have been better. Some Pacifica models with front-wheel drive get a slightly better-combined fuel economy rate of 22 mpg (19 city/28 highway).

Does the Pacifica have a lot of value? The Touring and the Pinnacle, which is at the top of the series, are linked by the Pacifica line. The Limited van we tested cost about $55,000 and had the S Appearance package, all-wheel drive, and other options. We were unhappy with the price. The use of hard metals and soft-touch surfaces inside takes away from the high-end feel of the space. The hard seat and armrests take away from one of the most aesthetically pleasing internal designs of modern minivans.

Overall, the fit and finish could be better, and most of the Pacifica test cars had the same electrical problems. The Chrysler warranty package is about average for its class. It comes with five years of roadside help.

There’s no way that minivans are meant to be exciting and fun. They put utility first. You need to bring it if you want to join the fun. Without a doubt, there is more than enough room for it.

The Pacifica’s standout feature is the Stow ‘n Go seats. Another practicality is how quickly the seats in the second row can be moved to the floor. This van might be the right choice for you if you frequently need a feature like quick adjustment.

Chrysler hasn’t said anything public about the 2025 Pacifica yet as of this writing. We will change our advice if something changes, but based on last year’s model, we still suggest the Touring L trim for the base gas-only Pacifica. The mid-level model costs a little more than the base model but has a lot more features. If you want a Pacifica Hybrid, pick the Select trim level. It has almost the same features as the Touring L.

Different kinds of Chrysler Pacifica

The Touring, Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle trim levels are the most basic ones for the Chrysler Pacifica. It also comes with two different powertrains. Most Pacificas have a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 287 horsepower and an automatic transmission with nine speeds. All-wheel drive is normal on most model levels, and front-wheel drive can be added as an option. The Pacifica Hybrid is also only offered in the Select and Pinnacle trim levels. With a plug-in hybrid engine, it can go about 32 miles on electricity and has 260 horsepower from a modified V6 engine. It gets an average of 30 miles per gallon when the V6 engine is turned on, and the minivan drives like a regular hybrid. There is no all-wheel drive on the Pacifica Hybrid.
