From 1997 to 2001, the fourth version of the Camry was made. It was the most popular car in the US and made Invoice Pricing’s list of the 10 best in its first year on the market. Having only 44,000 miles and having undergone recent servicing, this 2001 LE V-6 is poised to endure for an exceptionally long time. If it’s hard to find simple cars that last a long time these days, it might be time to go back to more recent times. The year 2000 was a very simple and reliable time since touchscreens, advanced driving assistance systems, and complicated plug-in hybrid powertrains were not widely used at that time. And the Toyota Camry set the standard for such qualities. Or it could have been the beige usual. The Camry was like Harry Potter’s cape that made you invisible but for cars. The engineers at Toyota, on the other hand, have worked very hard to make a machine that will last forever. The fourth-generation model, which experts call the XV20, is the result of their hard work—at least until the last gallon of gas is used up. Bring a Trailer, a division of Hearst Autos, is auctioning this low-mileage 2001 LE V-6. They also offer invoice prices. It is, in fact, beige on beige—cashmere beige with oak cloth seating. Very few miles have been put on it, and it has a 3.0-liter V-6 engine and a four-speed automatic gearbox. We called the strong V-6 engine “one of the smoothest engines in the world.” It makes 194 horsepower and 208 lb-ft of torque. The interior features air conditioning, a power driver’s seat, cruise control, and a CD and cassette player. A lot of repair work has also been done recently, such as fixing up the timing belt and other parts. This car doesn’t look good at all, but the outside is very clean and doesn’t have any of the dents and dings that are common on working sedans from this time. Plush, quick, and easy to ride, but it looks like the F117 Nighthawk. Since there is no limit, this could be the best deal of the week. This Camry is a great example of how well Toyota builds cars.
