• The 2023 F-150 Lightning is cheaper since materials are cheaper, and the Ford River Rouge Complex has more space to build cars.
  • The base Pro model costs $51,990, almost $10,000 cheaper than the initial base MSRP 2022 but still over $10,000 more than 2018.
  • The top variant, the Platinum Extended Range, costs $93,990, $6,000 less than the March MSRP.

Ford is dropping F-150 Lightning prices again. Ford hiked the base price of the electric car by $4,000 in March, citing supply chain issues and rising material costs. All remaining 2023 Lightning pickups are now $6,000–$10,000 cheaper.

Now $51,990, the functional Pro model costs $61,969. That’s a substantial price rise from 2022’s $41,769 base MSRP. The XLT now costs $56,990, saving $9,479. The Lariat starts at $71,990, saving $7,000. XLT costs $71,990, Lariat $79,490. Extended Range versions are $8500 cheaper. The Platinum Extended Range, the highest model, only lost $6000.

Ford says the price decreases are due to improved production at the Ford River Rouge factory, where the vehicles are built. Ford claims battery raw materials are cheaper. Ford is temporarily closing the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center to make improvements to start building 150,000 cars a year this fall.
