• Honda is going to release a new “H mark” logo.
  • This modified H will be used in future electric vehicles (EVs), such as the Series Zero models that were just released and will soon be put into production.
  • Honda says it looks like two hands stretched out.

Since 1981, this is the first time that the Honda symbol has changed in a big way. At CES, Honda showed off their newest Series Zero EVs, which have a new “H mark” that looks cleaner and more modern. The company says that the symbol is meant to show its support for electric cars (EVs). It will be first seen on “next-generation EVs,” like the Series Zero cars that will go on sale in 2026.

A new 'H' logo will be on Honda's future electric cars

Because it doesn’t have the H’s squircle-shaped surround, the new image is much easier to make than the one that has been on Honda cars for a while. Honda also says that the H shape is meant to look like two hands spread out because it is bigger and has a sharper angle.

The first new car with the sign probably won’t come out for a few years. The Series Zero Saloon concept will be made into a production model in 2026. The previous version of the symbol will be used for now on Honda’s upcoming 2024 Prologue electric SUV, which is built on a GM platform. Honda has said in the past that electric and fuel-cell vehicles will make up 40% of all new cars sold by 2030, 80% by 2035, and 100% by 2040. However, it needs to be clarified if any Hondas that aren’t electric vehicles will finally get the new H.
