The RSX will be Acura’s second electric car. It is a crossover that was suggested by the Performance EV concept from last year. The 2026 Acura RSX will use the same design and structure that Honda created for the Honda 0-series. We expect RSX sales to start in early 2026, and production will start later this year. Acura started selling electric vehicles last spring, and the ZDX electric SUV had a good first year, selling 7,391 units by 2024. Another electric vehicle (EV) made entirely by Honda is on the way. It will join the ZDX, which is built on a platform created by General Motors and is also used for the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevrolet Blazer EV. Honda will release a small electric SUV called the RSX. This name was first used for a changed form of the Honda Integra sold in the U.S. from 2002 to 2006. The new SUV will be smaller than the ZDX. Acura released a single picture displaying a wide light bar on the back, pointed vents on the rear bumper and in front of the back wheels, and a sloping roof that looks like a coupe. The Acura Performance EV idea, first shown at Monterey Car Week last year, has now become the RSX. This will be the first car built on Honda’s new electric vehicle platform, which will also be used for the Honda 0 SUV and 0 Saloon, which were shown as concepts at CES last week. The RSX will be the first car to use Honda’s new operating system, ASIMO OS, which was shown at CES, but not much is known about the technology. Later this year, Honda will start production at its EV Hub in Ohio. The company has been busy updating its East Liberty and Marysville plants to make different types of cars, including electric, gas-powered, and hybrid models. The RSX will be the first electric vehicle made there, and Honda’s 0-series cars will come next. A recent media meeting announced that the RSX will be available for sale in early 2026.
