Acura has updated the RDX’s infotainment system for the 2025 model year, addressing our concerns about the display when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. However, the touchpad interface, which has been a point of frustration, remains unchanged. The starting price increases by only $350 from the 2024 model, bringing the 2025 RDX’s base price to $46,050 (including the $1,350 destination fee). The compact SUV also features a refreshed grille design.

MPG and Powertrain Specifications

The 2025 RDX is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 272 horsepower and 280 pounds-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard, with the system capable of sending up to 70% of the engine’s power to the rear wheels. It also features torque vectoring, which can direct 100% of that torque to the outside wheel during a turn for enhanced traction.

Acura's updated 2025 RDX costs $46,050

According to Acura, the RDX’s powertrain retains its 2024 fuel economy ratings, achieving an EPA-rated 21/27/23 mpg city/highway/combined for the standard model. The A-Spec version, with its larger and heavier wheels, loses one mpg on the highway, resulting in ratings of 21/26/23 mpg.

Levels of Trim and Safety Features

Every RDX comes with AcuraWatch as standard. Some of the safety features include automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitors, lane departure warning, lane departure steering help, and front collision warning with person detection.

The base RDX has 19-inch black metal wheels, heated side mirrors, a power liftgate, LED lighting in the front and back, and keyless entry and start. It also has power-adjustable heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and lighting that blends in with the background. The base model also has nine speakers, Alexa voice recognition, a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch digital display in the instrument panel.

The Technology Package comes with a 12-speaker ELS Studio sound system, navigation, front and rear parking cameras, and smartphone wireless charging. Although all RDX windshields are soundproof, only the Advance has soundproofed back windows. The Technology Package’s front windows also have soundproof glass. The Milano leather seating with contrast stitching and gray 19-inch wheels are part of the Technology Package, but they could be more high-tech.

Black exterior trim and gray 20-inch wheels give the A-Spec a more aggressive look from the outside. The interior has perforated Milano leather seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, metal pedals, and a synthetic suede center and door trim with red piping. The A-Spec also comes with a 16-speaker ELS audio system and a front seat that can be heated or cooled.

The Advance Package comes with 19-inch machine-finished black metal wheels and adjustable dampers, which isn’t what you’d expect from the A-Spec. The Advance has a 10.5-inch head-up display, a hands-free power liftgate, and a parking camera that can see in all directions. The front seats have been improved with moveable bolsters and bottom pillow extensions. Other features include a remote start, LED puddle lamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers with deicers, a heated steering wheel, and heated seats on either side of the back seats. There are 20-inch machine-finished black metal wheels on the A-Spec Advance, and it has all the same features as the two trim levels that share its name.
