Keep an eye on your calendar. On May 31, Land Rover will show off the 2024 Range Rover Sport SV. The company posted a short teaser video to mark the event on its official YouTube account. The video says that the next SV will replace the Range Rover Sport SVR.

The Range Rover Sport has always been known as a car that combines luxury and speed. The new SV carries on this tradition while putting even more emphasis on being sporty. In the video, the driver puts the car into “SV Mode” and flashes a red paddle shifter as he drives over the dunes that circle Dubai. The trailer keeps coming back to how vital the paddle shifter is. As is a Range Rover that slides around the whole movie.

Each SUV’s supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine already makes 518 hp/575 lb-ft in the Supercharged and SVR versions. Land Rover says the new SV will be “the fastest, most dynamic, and most technologically advanced Range Rover Sport ever.” As they are, both give a thrillingly fast start.

The all-wheel-drive system on the current SVR already has six drive modes, including snow, mud, sand, and rock slides. Most people who aren’t Bond baddies (or their henchmen) don’t need the off-road features on a $100,000 luxury SUV. Instead, they use them to show off. This is not going to change with the new Range Rover Sport SV.
