• Since 2013, the Vision Gran Turismo series has been adding incredibly beautiful virtual supercars that are only available in the game. Two more have now been added.
  • There is a hybrid V-6 engine in the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta that makes 1071 horsepower and 986 pound-feet of torque.
  • The Bulgari Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo was inspired by one of the brand’s watches and has a Barchetta body style that looks like concept cars from the 1970s.

Although Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” was popular during Barack Obama’s presidency and kids used “swag” instead of “drip,” the racing video game Gran Turismo added a line of virtual supercars made by real companies that could only be driven in the game’s virtual world. Over the years, hints of Vision Gran Turismo have been making their way out. The Genesis X Gran Berlinetta and a surprising idea from the high-class clothing company Bulgari called the Bvlgari Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo have appeared out of nowhere.

Genesis’ Curvy Supercar

After seeing the beautiful Essentia idea from 2018, the sleek Genesis X Gran Berlinetta seems like a more extreme version of it. It stands low and wide, and it has the latest version of the company’s “two lines” lighting system. The 2022 X Speedium Coupe concept was the first car to show this system. The body is smooth, but some aerodynamic cuts and scoops break it up. The taillights go all the way around the ovoid back fascia, which curls up into a squat rear wing. Genesis says that the X Gran Berlinetta has a drag coefficient of 0.34.

The dashboard is mostly made up of a screen, with only two physical dials that look like normal Genesis cars and have a knurled metal finish. Inside, everything is simple. A steering wheel in the shape of a yolk has two dials: one to change the level of ABS assistance and the other to change the level of traction control. In addition, it has a second, smaller screen. The door panels and center armrest are wrapped in quilted leather, and the seats have a lot of support.

The X Gran Berlinetta doesn’t need power, which is strange for a car that came out in 2023. A Hyundai Lambda V-6 engine is put in the middle of the front axle, and a hybrid system works together to provide power. There are reports that the V-6 can make 870 hp and 790 lb-ft of torque at 10,000 rpm on its own. YASA makes 201 horsepower and 196 pound-feet of torque, which adds up to 1071 horsepower and 986 pound-feet of torque. YASA’s electric motors can be found in Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale and 296GTB. Even though no performance numbers were given, it works quickly.

The Trend Setter’s Track Device

The second new Vision GT concept was made by Bulgari, the same company that sells high-end jewelry, watches, perfumes, and other things. The first car made by Bulgari, the Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo, has a big, wedge-shaped fast body that looks like cars from the 1970s, like the Alfa Romeo 33 Spider Cuneo. There are also hints of the Pininfarina B95, which was shown off earlier this year and doesn’t have a roof. The design is said to be based on the Bulgari Aluminum watch from 1998. It has sharp edges and straight lines that make it look strong and bold.

One set of headlights is in the middle of the car, and it looks like a fold-down panel with two thin LED strips on either side reveals them, kind of like the Aston Martin Bulldog concept. The brushed metal look of the wheels and their blocky aerodynamic covers give the car a retro-futuristic DeLorean feel. Yellow accents can be found on the bucket seats and gauges. The dashboard and steering wheel are made of metal.

We weren’t given any information about how well the Bulgari performs, but we can guess that it has an electric motor since there are no holes in its body. Fabio Filippini, who used to be the design director of Pininfarina and worked on cars like the Fittipaldi EF7, another Vision Gran Turismo car, and the Sergio concept, which Ferrari later put into limited production, worked together on the design with Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, who is the executive director of product creation at Bulgari.

In January, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta will be added to Gran Turismo 7. Later, in 2024, the Bulgari Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo will follow. Two other Vision Gran Turismos from companies that don’t make cars have been hinted at before, but the Bulgari is the first official release. As of 2013, Jordan and Nike have been on the Vision Gran Turismo website. There is a concept picture of Nike, but the real thing has yet to be shown off.
