• According to Green Car Reports, the Chrysler Pacifica will introduce an all-electric version.
  • Christine Feuell, Chrysler CEO, stated that the Pacifica EV will be made and that the Halcyon concept will be used as a model.
  • The electric Pacifica is expected to launch after the standard model undergoes a redesign for 2026; both may be built on the modular STLA Large platform.

The brand’s minivan was named the Chrysler Pacifica in 2017. Since then, there has been talk of an electric Chrysler Pacifica. A report from Green Car Reports says that the first Pacifica EV will be on the market in a few years.

Chrysler's Upcoming Electric Minivan Will Allegedly Be A Pacifica

The news source says that in an interview with her at the Los Angeles Auto Show last week, Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell revealed that the Pacifica name will be used for an upcoming electric version of the minivan. She also said that the present Pacifica, which has both a plug-in hybrid and a gas-powered V-6 engine, will be updated in 2026. Feuell said it will be based on the Halcyon sedan design that was shown off earlier this year. The Pacifica EV is set to come out next year after that.

When it comes to electric cars, the Volkswagen ID is one of the few with three rows of seats. Buzz is the only one that fits the description of a minivan. The new Microbus, which you can buy in the US, doesn’t have seats that can be taken out completely in the second row. The Pacifica with a V-6 engine now has innovative Stow ‘n Go seats that fold into the floor. However, they can’t be used because there is a battery pack under them, making them useless. Feuell says that Chrysler is working on new designs that will allow the EV minivan to have the same kind of flexible seating arrangements.

Feuell talked about Chrysler’s plans to add more cars earlier this year. The first will be an electric SUV that will go on sale next year. Stellantis’ modular STLA Large platform, which allows gas, hybrid, and electric drivetrains, is likely to be used to build it. Even though no details have been given, all of those powertrains make a lot of sense for the next-generation Pacifica.
