• The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz has a new front end and bright new colors.
  • The interior of Hyundai’s small pickup truck has been updated with a new center console that can come with two 12.3-inch curved touchscreens.
  • New 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and a more noticeable look are two other features that support the XRT requirements.

Hyundai’s first pickup truck, the Santa Cruz, came out in 2022 with a powerful turbocharged engine and an eye-catching appearance. For the 2025 model year, the sleek little truck is getting a new look, a better infotainment system, and an off-road XRT option that is easier to see.

For 2025, the Hyundai Santa Cruz will get new looks and an XRT model that will last longer

It looks like Hyundai’s small truck is more brave

New front-end styling makes the Santa Cruz look more aggressive than before. It goes well with the updated 2025 Tucson SUV, which it is built on. The newest wheel shapes look really cool. Canyon Red and Rockwood Green are the two new paint colors you can get. A new shade of Medium Gray was used to paint the seats.

With different front and back bumpers that also slightly raise the approach angle, the XRT trim, which had only minor changes to its trim before, now looks even better for off-roading. Also, the hood stands out more, and the new 18-inch wheels with 245/60 all-terrain tires make the car run better. The XRT version has a surround-view monitor and a blind-spot camera that shows up in the digital gauge panel.

A more interesting interior

The new Santa Cruz has a curved interior with a 12.3-inch touchscreen entertainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that can be added as an extra. The screen and digital gauge readout on the leaving model were both bigger, at 10.3 inches each. Hyundai says that the new central controls are more comfortable to use, but there are still real switches for important features like audio, climate control, and navigation. The new shelf above the glovebox allows you to store more things.

There are now two cupholders in the center armrest of the back seat, and the steering wheel and air vents have been changed. Inside, there are several USB-C ports, and all trim levels come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wifi. Santa Cruz’s new feature is Forward Attention Warning. It is a driver-assist device that uses an infrared camera to watch the driver’s face and help them stay focused while driving.

Similar powertrains for Santa Cruz

The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, stays the same. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that Hyundai says is now faster and more precise. The car still comes with a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that makes 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. It’s linked to an automatic gearbox with two clutches and eight speeds.

The Limited and XRT models, which have the turbocharged engine, get a new drive mode that is better for pulling things behind them. All-wheel drive is still an option. The supercharged engine can pull up to 5,000 pounds, but the regular four-cylinder engine can still pull up to 3,500 pounds.

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz will go on sale this summer, but the price will be known later. The 2024 model starts at $28,275, so we don’t think the price will increase much.
