• Mercedes says that the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance, which was supposed to come out in 2023, will now be sold in American stores for the 2024 model year.
  • Mercedes just released a redesigned version of the hybrid sports car in Europe. We expect the E Performance to do the same thing in our country.
  • The new grille came from the latest AMG GT Coupe and has a black opening under the prominent grille.

People on the internet were upset that the latest Mercedes-AMG C63 didn’t have a V-8 engine but instead had a four-cylinder engine. However, a new name, E Performance, still needs to be remembered, and some of these new hybrid cars still use V-8 engines. The country’s first hybrid car is the S63 super-limo. The GT63 S E Performance was the first car in this hybrid form two years before the S63. The American launch of the four-door hybrid was set for 2023 but has yet to be pushed back. But when it does, Mercedes has shown off a new version that has been changed for Europe.

When we asked Mercedes why the E Performance wasn’t available, they said it would be coming to the US for the 2024 model year and that more information would be shared in a later statement. We hope the E Performance sent to the US will have better skin than the new European model.

The most apparent change is the more prominent grille, which has a black opening below the chrome vertical strakes and looks like the new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe. It looks better because of the lower grille opening and small air holes outside the bumper. Even though Mercedes hasn’t said how they will build cars for the US market, they have changed the list of features. Along with the new E-class and other updated Mercedes-Benz models, this one comes with an electric sunroof, wireless phone charging for the back seats, and a Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos digital sound.

The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine and an electric motor on the back axle are still in the hybrid drivetrain. They are capable of producing 831 horsepower and 1082 pound-feet of torque when combined. There is a 4.8-kWh battery that powers the electric motor. A nine-speed automatic engine sends power to all four wheels. A new color, Opalite White Metallic, has been added to the range. The E Performance also comes with air suspension as standard. Mercedes should give us more details about the GT63 S E Performance in the coming months.
