With the basic 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, Ford has called back the 2022 Ford Escape and 2022–2023 Bronco Sport SUVs. Forty-two thousand six hundred fifty-two cars are being recalled because of a problem where fuel injectors can break and start a fire in the engine bay. Ford will fix the problem by adding a drain tube and changing the software to include a feature that can find leaks. Information given to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that 42,652 Ford Escape and Bronco Sport cars with the base 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine are being called back. The 2022 Escape and the 2022–2023 Bronco Sport are among the cars being recalled. A fuel pump could break. There is a chance that fuel and fuel fumes will catch fire, which could lead to an engine bay fire. NHTSA data shows that drivers may notice a problem if there is a gasoline smell coming from inside or outside the car. Also, warning lights on the panel may let drivers know what’s going on. Documents about the recall say that Ford knows of five fires that started under the hood of the recalled cars. Car owners who were affected should have received a letter earlier this month.
