I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m sick of sellers and their ridiculously expensive “builds.” Most have been slightly raised or lowered and have new wheels, tires, and emblems to make them look more unique. But that’s about it for changes. The 2023 Ford F-150 single-cab short bed with a modified widebody is more likely to be worth the six-figure price tag than most. With coilover suspension and a potent V8, it not only looks the part but also drives much better than stock.

The Coyote-powered street fighter can be bought at Seth Wadley Ford in Perry, Oklahoma. Auto Accessories Unlimited made it. AAU added cloth seats and an 8-inch screen to a regular F-150 XLT. Everything is now made of leather, from the seats to the quilted upper door panels, and the center screen has been upgraded to a 12-inch size.

But the pickup cares more about how it looks and how well it performs than how luxurious it is. Regarding power, the F-150 4x4's 5.0-liter V8 engine and 10-speed transmission make it more of a classic monster than an EcoBoost car. Given that the engine is in stock right now but will be improved before delivery, "Daddy Dave" Comstock of Street Outlaws will be in charge of the forced induction part of the build. Plans call for a twin-turbo system for between 700 and 800 horsepower.

The truck moves forward with the help of 325-section tires wrapped around 22 by 12-inch Fuel Rebar wheels on each corner. A fiberglass kit is used instead because those clearly wouldn't fit under the body of a stock F-150. Phillip Parsons, who oversaw building at AAU, said that a widebody was always the plan, but changes had to be made.

He also said, "I've always wanted to take a single cab and put Raptor fenders and bedsides on it."[Seth Wadley Ford of Perry] approached us and said they were looking for a car that could compete with the Shelby and Roush pickups. Something different and unique.

"They don't make a Raptor with the 6.5-foot bed anymore for the '21 and up," Parsons commented. Since there was already an extended-cab Raptor, the goal was to use Ford parts to make a stock widebody. When Ford stopped making Raptors with extended cabs, we had to buy fiberglass parts from other companies.

There is an excellent position because of an IHC Suspension Performance change. The rear springs have been moved behind the rear axle, and the truck has adjustable coilovers. For the drive home, returning to the road comfort settings is easy. This makes it easy to get a grip off the line. Therefore, it serves a purpose other than just lowering the car; when set up correctly, it makes the car much faster on both straightaways and turns.

All of this costs a lot of money. On the internet, a Shelby Super Snake Sport is sold for $129,991 but costs $17,000 less. You have to choose between a well-known brand, like Shelby, that makes many of these cars and a unique project that is at least different from the others. You decide if it's worth it, but don't be surprised if a rich person buys it immediately for the total price.
