People that drive electric vehicles have a more difficult time of it. This is because electric cars now have a variety of charging ports, from the unusual CHAdeMO to the more common Combined Charging System (CCS) and Tesla’s own North American Charging Standard (NACS). The way Tesla does things seems to be something that other companies are willing to do as well. Most people agree that the gold standard is the NACS charge port and Tesla’s huge network of Superchargers. Ford was the first carmaker to say it would work with Tesla and use the NACS plug in May 2023. After that, other automakers also said they would work with Tesla. A group of engineers called SAE International has also said that the NACS adapter will be standardized. We have compiled a list of firms that are expected to use Tesla’s plug, as well as a list of companies with which we have heard conversations are now taking place, as well as a list of other automobile manufacturers and charging networks.
