Honda is teasing two prototype vehicles set to be unveiled next month at CES 2025. The car on the left seems to be a progression of the futuristic Saloon concept unveiled at CES 2024. The second vehicle adopts a more SUV-like design, and together, these two cars are poised to become the inaugural models on Honda’s new 0 Series EV platform. The production car, which would be the first EV on Honda’s new 0 Series platform, would be less flashy than the daring Saloon concept they showed at CES 2024. It had a low, torpedo-like shape. Honda made it clear that its next EVs would be very low to the ground when we drove a prototype of the 0 Series in September. Honda is keeping its word, as the Japanese car company has shown off two prototypes that will be shown off at CES 2025. In this picture of two cars taken at night, only the backlights can be seen. With its similar aerodynamic shape and repeating light pattern, the car on the left is definitely based on the Saloon idea. We will be able to see how Honda’s idea turned into a prototype in January. Due to improvements in packaging for the electric motors and chassis and a smaller battery pack, Honda said during the test drive that it would be possible for the roofline to be lower than 55.1 inches, which is two inches lower than the current Accord’s height. On the right, you can see a larger car that looks more like an SUV. It’s not a surprise. Earlier this year, when we tested the 0 Series prototype, Honda had two units available. Earlier this year, when we tested the 0 Series prototype, Honda provided two versions: one disguised as a CR-V and the other featuring the current Accord’s exterior design. The backlights of the SUV are shaped like a U, which makes it look like they go around the back window. Both cars’ rear ends look like they are not attached to the back of the cars. Honda’s present Prologue EV is based on a platform made by General Motors. Honda’s 0 Series EVs, on the other hand, will be built on a platform that Honda themselves created and will go on sale in 2026. The 0 Series cars will also have a new operating system, and Honda hinted at a number of cutting-edge features during the test drive. At the next CES event, which will be held on January 7, 2025, the newest versions will be shown to the press.
