Honda Cars India has shared its sales numbers for June 2023. The car giant’s sales were down from last year to the same time the previous month. Last month, 5,080 cars were sold in the country, 35.15% less than the same time in 2022, when 7,834 vehicles were sold. MoM sales, on the other hand, went up for the company. The month-to-month numbers show a 9.01% rise from May 2023, when 4,660 units were sold. Honda exported 2,112 cars last month, compared to 2,502 in June 2022. This is a drop of 15.59%. In June 2023, Honda sold 7,192 vehicles, which was 30,42% less than the same month the year before. India is the place where reservations for the Honda Elevate start. The market has been told how many cars were sold last month and that bookings have begun for the new Elevate SUV. Mr. Yuichi Murata, Director of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd., said, “Our sales in June were in line with what we expected and met our planned goals.” Last month, we introduced the Honda Elevate, our newest SUV for India, to the rest of the world. Since then, there has been a lot of interest in the new design. For a small fee of Rs 20,000, you can now make a reservation for the next SUV. The Elevate, which competes with the Hyundai Creta, can now be pre-ordered at any approved Honda dealership or through Honda from Home, the company’s online sales channel. A Honda Elevate engine The fifth version of the Honda City and the new Elevate use the same platform. The next SUV will have the same 1.5-liter iVTEC gasoline engine in the City. It makes 145 Nm of torque and 120bhp. You can choose between a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a 6-speed manual transmission. There will not be a gas engine in the car. The company has not said for sure yet, but a 1.5-liter City petrol-hybrid engine will likely be made available. Price and Availability Go Up at Honda Honda will release the Elevate this year during the Christmas season. Ex-showroom, the new model’s price in India is likely to be close to Rs 11 lakh. The SUV will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and other cars when it comes out.
