• The Xtreme Recon 35 Tire kit is now offered on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models.
  • The $4495 upgrade comes with bigger 35-inch BFGoodrich K02 all-terrain tires, wheels that can be deadlocked, and a stronger rear swing gate.
  • The off-road SUV’s clearance is also improved by a 1.5-inch suspension lift that comes with the Xtreme Recon update.

Are you fed up with having to buy a Jeep Wrangler with two doors that don’t come with 35-inch tires? Not to worry, though. The new Xtreme Recon 35 Tire package for two-door Rubicon and Willys cars means that’s no longer the case.

Large tires can now be added to two-door Jeep Wranglers starting in 2024

It has two doors and tires that are 35 inches wide

In 2024, Jeep Wranglers with one door on each side will be able to get larger tires and a few other off-road-improved parts for the first time in years. In the new Xtreme Recon package, which is similar to what’s already available on four-door Wranglers, this is included.

The LT315/70R-17 All-Terrain T/A K02s and the 35-inch tires we already talked about are both part of BFGoodrich’s off-road upgrade kit. The thicker rubber is put on 17-inch wheels that can be used with bead locks. It has a stronger backswing gate and an axle ratio of 4.56:1.

The change includes a 1.5-inch lift in the suspension and springs that have been carefully tuned. Jeep says that the Xtreme Recon plan gives two-door Wranglers better ground clearance. They get closer at 47.2 degrees, cross over at 32.4 degrees, and move away at 40.4 degrees. They can go through 34 inches of water and go 12.6 inches above the ground.

The Xtreme Recon 35 Tire package starts at $4495 for 24 Wrangler Rubicon and Willys two-door models. You can buy it now for the first trim, but the second will get it later this spring. The Wrangler Rubicon X with two doors starts at $64,190 and comes with the Xtreme Recon kit as standard.
