• Our innovative five-year strategy underlines Mitsubishi’s commitment to automotive’s future. This proposal involves novel vehicle electrification and model changes.
  • Every year from 2026 to 2030, the car company plans to release either a new model or a completely redesigned old one. Two of the new cars will be sold in places where Mitsubishi doesn’t currently have a presence.
  • As part of our growth strategy, Mitsubishi is dedicated to expanding its network of dealers. This expansion will be accompanied by a diverse collection of new Hybrid, plug-in Hybrid, and fully electric cars, ensuring our commitment to a sustainable future.

“Where do you see yourself in five years?” Mitsubishi won’t need to be worried. Mitsubishi came up with a new five-year plan called “Mitsubishi Motors Momentum 2030” after meeting with its national sales group. The plan focuses on electric vehicles, more car options, and a bigger retail industry.

Mitsubishi will use electric, plug-in hybrid, and gasoline-powered electric vehicles

According to the brand, Momentum 2030 means creating a way to make cars electric, improving and expanding Mitsubishi’s North American lineup, growing the sales network, and changing the way the business works. The first two traits are more interesting to us because they go together better and are more focused on the goods.

Two Brand New Markets

A part of Mitsubishi’s plan to go electric has already been shown. In March, the company said it would work with Nissan to make a number of new cars, such as a mid-size pickup truck made in Mexico and a new electric car.

The only plug-in Hybrid in the Outlander lineup, the Hybrid, has an old-fashioned CHAdeMO charging port that makes it hard to find fast charge stations nearby. At a dealer conference earlier this week, Mark Chaffin, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, said that the brand’s growth into hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and battery electric vehicles is a key part of the company’s Momentum 2030 plan.

The car company wants to quadruple the number of cars it has in stock by adding one new model or a full redesign every fiscal year from 2026 to 2030. Chaffin says that two of the new cars will go after areas in North America that Mitsubishi doesn’t currently serve. One of these will likely be the mid-size pickup that was made with Nissan. The other new car looks like a D:X Delica van that is being made and could be sold in the US. That’s why we’re here.
