Since Honda stopped making the NSX last year, it has not made a specialized sports car anywhere in the world. This is changing, as a new electric sports car from a Japanese company will be shown off next month.

The event will take place in October at the Japan Mobility Show, which used to be called the Tokyo Motor Show. With the release of several new electric cars, Honda will have a complete plan. The Specialty Sports idea makes me want to know more. Honda calls it “the concept model of an electric sports automobile that will let drivers move beyond time, even in the age of electrification for carbon neutrality and the widespread use of automated driving technology.

So far, marketing jargon is the only knowledge we have. There are now two main ways of thinking about the idea. One example is Honda’s plan to replace the NSX with an electric car shortly. When it showed off its Acura Electric Vision Design Study earlier this year, Acura hinted that it might take this method. This made us think that a new EV that looked like a real racecar was coming. For those who don’t know, the Honda name has been used to sell the NSX in many countries other than the United States.

Instead, the Japanese blog Creative Trend thinks that the Specialty Sports Concept could be the Honda S2000’s electric replacement. The S2000 came out on Honda’s 50th anniversary. The company is now 75 years old and is in its 75th year. Last year, Honda talked about two electric sports cars vaguely. So, the Specialty Sports Concept and the replacement for the NSX that Acura is making could be the S2000’s symbolic replacement.
