Ideas for the Nissan Frontier’s Forsberg Edition package came from the team that won the NORRA 500 off-road race. The update that the dealer put on comes with special decals, 17-inch beadlock wheels, mud-terrain tires, a higher suspension, and a cat-back exhaust. Starting this fall, you can buy the Forsberg Package for $9999. It can be put on Frontiers 2022 or later. Anyone who wants their Nissan Frontier to look like a champion desert racer will be happy with an upgrade that will soon be available from a dealer. The team that won the most recent NORRA 500 race in Mexico was used as a model for the second edition. This week at the Chicago car show, Nissan will show off the Frontier with Forsberg gear. Chris Forsberg and his team put NISMO gear and knobbier tires on a Ford Frontier to make sure it could handle the stress of racing 500 miles across the Baja desert. The truck was first shown at the SEMA show the previous year. The highly decal-covered livery isn’t on the limited-edition Forsberg package, but it still has many of the same upgrades. The dealer-installed improvement includes a raised off-road suspension with tuned shocks and forged upper control arms. It also comes with Axis wheels that can be locked in place and Yokohama Geolander mud-terrain tires that are 265/70R17. In addition to rock sliders, the Forsberg Frontier has a low-profile roof rack with LED lights built right in. Also, a special version would only be complete with unique visual cues like the emblem on the base of the gear shifter and the different designs on the outside. Nissan says that the Forsberg Edition will cost $99,999 when it comes out this fall. The company that makes the kit says that sellers can put it on Frontiers with crew cabs that were built after 2022. The cheapest 2024 Nissan Frontier crew cab is the S type, which starts at $32,840. Adding four-wheel drive costs an extra $3,000.
