We like the updated look of Nissan’s famous Qashqai SUV, which was first seen in Europe. There is a three-cylinder turbocharged hybrid type called “E-Power” that has an electric motor that makes 188 horsepower. The Qashqai was sold in the United States from 2017 to 2022, but it won’t be back. For ten years, the Nissan Qashqai has been one of the best-selling cars in the UK. However, it did not do as well when it was sold in the US as the Rogue Sport small crossover from 2017 to 2022. We won’t see the Qashqai again because the beautiful new Nissan Kicks keep getting bigger. That’s a shame because the newest version, which came out yesterday, has some really cool design elements. The Euro Qashqai is ready to go The new Qashqai has a big hexagonal grille shaped like “ancient Japanese armor scales.” The design is sharp but balanced. The tiny comma-shaped pieces that make up this decoration are reflected in the LED lights in the triangle headlights, which sit below the narrow daytime running lights, which also serve as sequential turn signals and shoot up like angry eyebrows. The style of the taillights is the same as the model before the refresh, but there are new parts that look like the repeating lines on the headlights. Nissan has also made a new model called N-Design. It has 20-inch special wheels and a rear bumper that is the same color as the car. The Qashqai’s interior has also been redesigned. The center console, door panels, and dashboard of better trim levels now have Alcantara on them. The trim around the gear switch has a pretty pattern that matches the pattern on the dashboard. The top trim of the seats is made of partially quilted leather to make it stand out. More than one trim level comes with ambient lighting, and the touchscreen can now show you where the front tires are exactly as if the hood weren’t there—this is called an “invisible hood view.” You can choose from two hybrid types that have a 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbocharger. They come with either a six-speed manual or CVT engine and 138 or 157 horsepower. A full-fledged hybrid called “E-Power” is also available. It has a 1.5-liter inline-three turbocharged engine, a 1.8-kWh battery, and an electric motor that can make 188 horsepower. No one will be surprised by how well the Qashqai drives, but Nissan would be smart to add the E-Power system to their US range. Also, we’d like to see something on the streets that looks like the new Qashqai.
