Nissan slowly showed off its cars before the Tokyo auto show, leaving its futuristic electric sports car for the very end. The five idea cars on display were made to be used for commuting, off-roading, and racing, and they are expected to have electric power. Even though it’s clear that the Nissan Hyper Force is aimed at the future, it looks like older GT-R models. At the Tokyo auto show in 2023, Nissan showed off their last five concept cars to a loud crowd gathered around the Nissan booth. The last car hidden under the drape was a fast, low-slung car with a big wing, so everyone was expecting Nissan to deliver, and they did. Different from some concept cars that stay safe, the Nissan Hyper Force is as bold and fast as its name suggests. The rough metal finish shines like a fancy knife, and some edges look sharp. The bottom part of the Nissan sticks out like a cowcatcher on a steam engine or a very pouty lower lip. Its headlights are hidden deep in a set-back grille and placed far to the side, making it look like the eyes of a hammerhead shark. There are both geometric and organic lines in the back of the car. A soft rise over the tire tops a complicated triangle of curved fenders. Nissan says that the NISMO racing team gave feedback on the design of the Hyper Force, even though it looks like a brick. The company also says that the Hyper Force will cut through the wind like the knife it is based on. The sloped front end and comb-shaped rear diffuser help with downforce and control excellent airflow. The big wing provides active aero, and a better turning grip is achieved by fine-tuning the airflow around the forged carbon wheels with an electrode-controlled plasma actuator. Electricity is being used for something else. The Hyper Force will be powered by a solid-state battery with a theoretical 1341 horsepower and a better form of Nissan’s e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system. The Hyper Force has a cabin made of extra-forged carbon behind doors open vertically. It has race seats that float and are comfortable. They have four-point belts and a backseat suggestion. The small driving wheel and screens around it also have squared-off corners. In R mode, the screens move toward the driver and show information about the temperature and pressure of the tires. When the car is in GT mode, the interface is more focused on entertainment and relaxation inside, and the lighting changes from red to blue. The Hyper Force can be used as a virtual reality game area when it’s not being used. You can play with friends worldwide, and some settings let you race without ever leaving the garage. Think of it as a better version of sitting in your parked car and making vroom sounds. Many think the concept’s four circular taillights and unique logo layout make them feel the GT-R. Nissan officials confirmed that the upcoming GT-R would only have motors, but they also said that the company would keep an eye on how people felt about the Hyper Force concept as it plans for future performance cars.
