Honda has released new software for the older version of the Accord. It now has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto built-in wirelessly. For Accords made between 2018 and 2022, a new option with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be added by the dealer. Honda says that the $112 software update (plus work) can be done on about 631,000 Accords. Invoice Pricing’s annual 10Best list included the Honda Accord 38 times, which is a record. This includes the new 11th generation, which came out for the 2023 model year. The 2018 Accord looks better because it has more features and a sleeker entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that can be used without a cord on models with a 12.3-inch screen. Honda has now shown owners a way to add a wireless link, even though the previous version only worked with Android Auto and wired CarPlay. Honda Accords made between 2018 and 2022 can have the wireless version of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installed by a dealer. These cars already have an 8.0-inch tablet with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The part itself costs $112, but work is not included in that price. Now, there is even more reason for people who want to buy an approved pre-owned Accord from the last generation to do so. Because Honda said that certain CPO cars will get a free software upgrade installation, this is the case. The company says that the dealer-installed software patch can be used on a total of 631,000 last-generation Accords.
