• If a customer buys or leases a new EV, Ford will pay for installation and give them a free home charger.
  • Under the Ford Power Promise, people who lose their power can get help on the side of the road, and they can get help 24 hours a day.
  • The charger and installation will be free from October 1, 2024, to January 2, 2025.

To get people to buy or lease a new electric car, Ford is starting a program that includes a free home charger. The Ford Charge Station Pro will also be installed at home by professionals for people who buy a new F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, or E-Transit pickup van.

People Who Buy A New Ford EV Can Get It Installed And Charged At Home For Free

This offer is part of the Ford Power Promise, which also covers service and help on the side of the road 24 hours a day. Ford says folks can text a live expert 24 hours a day, seven days a week, if they need help with their EV. In the event that they break down or run out of power, Ford says that roadside help will pick them up and take them to the closest dealership or charging station.

The free home charger and installation are available to people who buy or lease a new Ford EV between October 1, 2024, and January 2, 2025. When the power goes out, an EV’s saved battery power can power a house. It usually costs $1310, but the Ford Charge Station Pro lets energy flow both ways. The plug on this SAE Level 2 charger looks like a CCS, and it can make up to 80 amps.

Ford is giving a $2,000 rebate to new EV users who need a home with a charging station or live in an apartment.
