• Toyota has released information about the 2024 GR Corolla hot-hatch lineup, which has a new model level.
  • The Premium trim, which starts at $41,015, will fill the space between the entry-level Core trim and the newly added Circuit trim.
  • With the Performance option, the Premium level gets brake cooling vents, front and rear limited-slip differentials, and seats covered in leather.

Adding a new trim level for the 2024 model year will make the GR Corolla family grow by one. The Circuit model was meant to be a limited-edition model for the first year of the hot hatch, but Toyota chose to bring it back for 2024. The 200 different kinds of Morizo for 2023 are also done. Toyota says a new Premium trim will close the price and feature gap between the base Core model and the smaller Circuit edition.

The Premium kit comes with GR brake calipers that are painted red, as well as cosmetic changes like Brin Naub suede-lined seats that have the GR symbol on them. Also, the mid-level trim has speed upgrades like brake ducts, front and rear parking sensors, and front and rear Torsen limited-slip differentials as part of the speed package. Other comforts include:

  • A wireless phone charger.
  • Heated front seats.
  • A heated steering wheel.
  • An upgraded JBL music system.

The Circuit Edition has replaced the Morizo Edition 200 cars, which will no longer be made after 2023. The Circuit has the same features as last year, like flared hood nostrils, a forged carbon-fiber roof, side rocker panels, and a shiny black spoiler at the back. The Circuit has chosen the 18-inch BBS forged aluminum wheels from Morizo as standard equipment 2024. This will make the tiny Corolla lighter. Blue Flame is a new blue paint choice, and the seats and shift knob are stitched to match.

185.4 hp for each liter

The turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-three engine makes 300 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque in all three models. That means that a Corolla engine has a fantastic 185.4 horsepower per liter. The Gazoo Racing team has made a few technical changes to the car for the following year. Improvements include:

  • The steering gear.
  • The rear suspension.
  • The ground for the battery.
  • Aero changes include adding metal sheets to the front and back bumpers to change how air flows.

Toyota also plans to add more GR speed parts later this year so that people can make their cars even more unique. The first two things on that list are performance-lowering springs and shocks. Both the Core and Premium trims will also be able to get the rear sport wing.

Only a few hundred dollars have been added to the price. The Core model now starts at $37,195, $200 more than last year. The Core model is below the new Premium model, which starts at $41,015. The Circuit Edition is at the top of the lineup.
