Audi has released two new electric cars, the 2025 Audi A6 e-tron and the 2025 Audi S6 e-tron. These new cars will be added to the A6 and S6, which already have gasoline engines. The order books for the e-trons from 2025 will open in September 2024. The S6 e-tron, which is designed to be faster, will likely cost around $90,000. The A6 e-tron, on the other hand, will begin at $70,000. Audi uses the terms “high floor” and “low floor” to describe the main changes between the A6 e-tron Sportback and the Q6 e-tron SUV. Because they both have the same energy base, you can sit high or low in your electric car. The Audi A6 e-tron is the first battery-powered four-door car that costs less than $100,000. The Porsche Taycan-based e-tron GT was the first battery-powered four-door car. We don’t know the exact price yet, but we think the brand’s new electric car will cost around $70,000 for the 362 horsepower rear-drive model, $80,000 for the 422 horsepower A6 e-tron, and more than $90,000 for the 543 horsepower S6 e-tron when it goes on sale in late spring of next year. As the name “Sportback” suggests, each version has a new body with a hatch around the back. The big taillight is made of OLED LEDs, and the settings menu lets you change how they look to change the way the back of the car looks. The rest of the world will be able to buy the even more attractive Avant (Audi jargon for wagon) style. Representatives from Audi wouldn’t say if there would be an Allroad version of the wagon. Both this car and the Q6 e-tron have the same size and shape as the dashboard, which has a big, curved panel with a 14.5-inch entertainment screen and an 11.9-inch display for the driver. We really would like to see more options for gauge clusters. These days, Audis are better at it. There is an optional 14.5-inch tablet on the dashboard in front of the passenger seat that kids can use to play games or watch videos when they are bored. With the push of a button, a panoramic glass roof can change from clear to cloudy, look like a shade, or even have a checkerboard design. You can store things under the hatch that’s 26 cubic feet in size. There is a small front trunk that is less than one cubic foot in size and is very useful. The A6 e-tron has a 94.4-kWh battery hidden under the floor, which should give it a range of 350 miles. The European Union’s range of more than 450 miles is likely to be different from real life, but official EPA range numbers are still being worked out. With a DC fast charger, the 800-volt power system can handle up to 270 kW of charging power, which means the battery can be charged to 80% capacity in just 21 minutes. Each of the A6’s two banks can be charged at most 135 kW if the hookup is 400 kW. The built-in charger can give up to 11 kW when it is connected to AC power. Audi says it will go faster. The S6 e-tron should reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, the A6 e-tron Quattro in 4.3 seconds, and the standard A6 e-tron with a single motor in 5.2 seconds. The European models with camera side view mirrors have a body that is 0.21 times less slippery than ours. Ours will be less slippery. Next year, the new electric A6, a sleek, lozenge-shaped member of the Audi family, will join the family of gas-powered A6s. Soon, the A6 with an internal combustion engine will no longer be made. Only the electric form will be made. How do you feel about it? State of being elevated or depressed?
