• The 2025 Audi e-tron GT gets some small changes, as well as improvements to its motor and battery.
  • With the addition of a larger 97.0-kWh battery, output across the e-tron GT lineup increases, reaching peaks between 671 and 912 horsepower.
  • The base price for the RS e-tron GT Performance is $168,295, and the range estimate has yet to be discovered. The base price for the S trim is $126,795, and the range estimate is 300 miles.

Several changes are being made to the 2025 Audi e-tron GT that will make it even more appealing than the Porsche Taycan. The Audi e-tron GT lineup would also benefit from a more full makeover, just like the Porsche. The three different models—the S e-tron GT, the RS e-tron GT, and the RS e-tron GT Performance—all have new looks and better all-wheel-drive powertrains, batteries, and even chassis changes.

The 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance Boasts 912 Horsepower And Is Priced At $168,295

The New Look of the E-Tron

Audi’s four-ring logo is shown in two dimensions on the 2025 e-tron GT, which also has new grille shapes. The RS models have bigger, better-defined “L-shaped” side air intakes, while the base S model has shiny black trim around the grille. Different kinds of wheels are part of the car’s update. The RS twins have new multispoke 20-inch wheels and forged 12-spoke wheels that look like the “Avus” set that was first seen on the 1991 Avus Quattro concept. The performance model (shown above) is the first car to come in the new Bedford Green color. This new Audi model has the first “carbon camouflage” parts and the only roof made of matte carbon.

The e-tron GT’s interior changes could be clearer. More information about the EV’s battery state is now shown on the digital gauge cluster, which is also called the “Virtual Cockpit.” This includes temperature, preconditioning, and real-time charging rate. The display in the Performance has a white background that can be changed, which is a nod to the white analog instruments in the 1994 Audi RS2 Avant. The RS models, on the other hand, have material that is only available in those trim levels. With the push of a button, a new panoramic sunroof can change from clear glass to dark glass.

Audi updates the e-tron GT with a new squared-off steering wheel and new seats with new patterns and lit logos on the backs. The basic structure of the car stays the same, though. You can also get new interior trim pieces. For top-level Performance, you can choose from carbon camouflage or birch. The latter has contrast stitching in Serpentine Green, which goes well with the new Bedford Green paint color.

Enhancements to Powertrain, Battery, and Chassis

Each e-tron GT has a brand-new motor in the back based on parts from Audi’s PPE platform. Sources say the rear e-motor weighs about 22 pounds less than the one that came before it because a part was replaced, and the cooling system was improved. It is thought that all three possible powertrains are more powerful and efficient.

The original basic e-tron GT had a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with a total of 522 horsepower. It has been replaced by the new S trim, which has a total of 671 horsepower, more than the previous high-performance RS e-tron GT’s peak of 637 horsepower. The new RS has 845 horsepower, which is obviously more power than the old one. At the very top of the pyramid, the Performance version of the RS e-tron GT made its appearance. It makes 912 horsepower when the overboost feature is used, the same as a normal RS. It gives your car an extra 94 horsepower for no more than ten seconds.

The new Performance type from Audi is called the “first fully electric RS model,” even though the e-tron GT is already known as the RS. The RS e-tron GT Performance has a new front motor and an improved pulse inverter that can discharge even bigger currents, despite the confusion. Audi claims that the top trim can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. In contrast, the base RS and S e-tron GT models take 2.8 and 3.4 seconds, respectively, to reach the same speed. Both RS types can go as fast as 155 mph, but the last one can only go as fast as 152 mph.

According to Audi, they have cut the weight of the e-tron GT’s engine and the weight of the battery by about 22 pounds. The pack is also bigger than it was before because its net capacity has gone up from 83.7 to 97.0 kilowatt-hours. Audi says that the rise is due to the improvement of the two-layer cooling plate on the battery. The fastest DC charging rate went up from 270 kilowatts to 320 kilowatts, which also means that charging got better. Additionally, Audi says the new battery can add about 174 miles or charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. There is a 22.0 kW charger on board for people with a Level 2 link.

Audi made the e-tron GT’s brakes better by using bigger steel discs to help the strong EV stop. Tungsten carbide brakes, which are standard on RS models, can be added as an addition to the S. If you want to try your hand at track days, the full e-tron GT package comes with a set of carbon-ceramic brakes and 10-piston front calipers. The car’s regenerative braking system can now get 400 kilowatts of power back, up from 290. In addition to automatic control, the driver can choose from three steps to change the amount of regen by hand.

Audi says that the 2025 e-tron GT will be even more fun to drive thanks to a redesigned standard air suspension with two adjustable levels. You can also get an “active” suspension system that can control each wheel separately. Audi thinks that the available four-wheel-steering system makes the car even more agile because it can turn the back wheels up to 2.8 degrees and has a more direct front-axle ratio.

Audi has only given information about the European e-tron GT, which can already be bought. In the next few months, we should learn more about the US version. At that point, we’ll find out how much the lineup will cost and how far it will go on EPA tests. The 2024 Audi e-tron GT started at $107,995, and the RS model cost $148,595.
