After getting a little makeover, the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander looks a little better. The updates to the compact SUV feature both interior and exterior visual changes, the addition of a new Yamaha audio system, and a retuned suspension. The ES with front-wheel drive now costs $31,140, which is $1065 more than it did last year. Mitsubishi is adding a Yamaha sound system to the 2025 Outlander, along with changes to the way it looks on the outside and inside. The small SUV is still built on the Nissan Rogue, but Mitsubishi says they have improved the suspension and soundproofing to make the inside quieter. These changes will not be made to the plug-in hybrid Outlander until the 2026 model year. So, only the non-hybrid Outlander will get these updates. New wheel styles, a redesigned front grille, and headlights and taillights that are very different from the originals finish off the changes to the outside. The center console layout has been changed on the inside to make room for the wireless charge pad, add more storage, and move the cupholders. All of them now come with a Yamaha sound system, but the better trim levels will get a more powerful Yamaha system with more speakers than the base model. Mitsubishi says that the steering, springs, anti-roll bars, and shocks have been re-adjusted, but the 181-hp 2.5-liter inline-four engine and continuously variable automatic transmission have not changed. After we test drive the new Outlander, we’ll let you know if this change, along with the extra sound-deadening material, improves the driving experience. There will still be versions with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. We know that the base price will be $31,140 right now, $1065 more than last year’s model. Mitsubishi will release more details on February 24. That is true for the ES with front-wheel drive, and we expect the SE and SEL trim levels to be back in stock as well.
