Japanese magazine Mag X says that Nissan will stop making the current GT-R after the 2025 model year. The source said that Nissan told Japanese sellers that this would be the last year for the R35 generation because they would no longer be able to get parts for it. Mag X says that only 1,500 of the 2025 Nissan GT-R will be sold. More information about the car will be made public tomorrow, March 14. The Nissan GT-R R35’s time may be up, which isn’t a big surprise. The latest version of the famous Japanese sports car came out in 2009. Over the years, the all-wheel-drive monster known as Godzilla has gone through many changes. Its base price has gone up by more than $50,000, but it still looks the same. Mag X also says that Nissan will release the 2025 GT-R tomorrow, March 14. We may not have to wait long to find out if their story is true. The company’s statement goes into more explanation about how few cars will be made for the last model year. It is planned to sell only 1,500 units, with 300 of those being the high-performance NISMO type. Also, it needs to be clarified whether these production numbers are true for the whole world. An official from Nissan in the US told us that the report that the GT-R R35 will only be made in 1500 units and that production will end after the 2025 model year is false. They did tell invoice pricing, though, that they couldn’t say anything about plans to make new products in the future.
