After a complete makeover in 2024 that eliminated the sedan body style, the Subaru Impreza comes back in 2025 with only a few small changes, including a higher price. The base price of the small hatchback is $24,665, which is only $580 more than it was in 2024 (the $1,170 delivery fee is included in all prices).

Specifications for Powertrain and Fuel Efficiency 

Two different kinds of Subaru’s famous flat-four engine come with the Impreza. There is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine in both the Base and Sport models that makes 152 horsepower and 145 pounds-feet of torque. The top-of-the-line RS has a 2.5-liter engine that makes 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. Every model comes with an all-wheel drive and an engine that changes gears all the time. The 2.5-liter gets 26/33/29 mpg in the city, 34/30 mpg on the highway, and 30 mpg combined. The 2.0-liter gets 27/34/30 mpg in either mode.

Trim Levels and Safety Features 

All 2025 Subaru Impreza models come standard with the EyeSight driving assistance package. This package includes adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, lane departure warning, and front collision warning with automatic emergency braking. 

The base Impreza has 16-inch steel wheels, adjustable LED headlights with auto high beams, and automatic climate control for two zones. The basic audio system has four speakers, a satellite radio, and two 7-inch touchscreens that can connect to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 

As an extra, the Sport grade comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels, keyless enter and start, and a manual-shift mode for the CVT with eight fixed ratios. Inside, there is an upgraded fabric interior, a single 11.6-inch tablet with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that works wirelessly, and a sound system with six speakers. 

Along with the improvements made to the Sport trim, the RS also has blind spot monitors, automatic emergency steering, rear cross-traffic warning, exterior trim and upholstery that are special to the trim, and a wireless phone charger.
