The 2025 Toyota 4Runner begins a new generation with a base price of $42,220, just $565 higher than the previous model. The rest of the new 4Runner lineup is significantly more expensive, with the popular TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road experiencing price increases of $4185 and $5140, respectively. The high-end Trailhunter and TRD Pro models start at $68,350, which is several thousand dollars more than the Toyota Land Cruiser. The new Toyota 4Runner is very different from the old one. The most current model has a hybrid drivetrain, which is a first. It also has many nice modern features while staying true to its off-road roots. Still, most 2025 Toyota 4Runner models are much more expensive than their predecessors, so all of these changes come at a price. Pricing for the New 4Runner The base price of the 4Runner’s base model, the SR5, has mostly stayed the same from the last model year, which will please fans of that model. The 2025 4Runner SR5 with rear-wheel drive starts at $42,220, only $565 more than the previous model. Instead of the old 4.0-liter V-6 and five-speed automatic, there is now a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic. The four-wheel-drive system costs $2000 across all trim levels. The prices of the 4Runner’s best-selling models, the TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road have gone up a lot. The Sport’s starting price has gone up by $4185, or $5140, to $48,700, and the Off-Road’s has gone up by $50,640, or $5140. The price goes up by $2800 for the optional i-Force Max system, which has a 326-hp hybrid engine. The more expensive 4Runner Limited trim used to be the second-to-last model in the line-up, but now it’s only the first non-hybrid model. The price has gone up by $8460, though, to $56,850 ($61,650 for the hybrid version). The latest version of 4Runners has the Platinum trim, which is designed to be the most comfortable to drive and comes with the nicest features. It costs $64,310 and only has a hybrid engine and four-wheel drive. These 4Runners, the Trailhunter and TRD Pro, cost more because they are the best of the best. Both of them start at $68,350, which is a lot more than the Toyota Land Cruiser. The Trailhunter is brand new for 2025, but the TRD Pro came out with the last version. The latest version, on the other hand, costs $11,730 more than the last one. Toyota says that dealers will be ready to sell the redesigned 4Runner early next year.
