• The base price of the 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander drops by about $2500 to $42,310 with the addition of a new base type called LE. The LE model can optioned with either the base engine (FWD or AWD) or the Grand Highlander Hybrid’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors.
  • The Grand Highlander also has a new Nightshade trim package. It adds black accents on the hood, mirror caps, and wheels.
  • The 2025 Grand Highlander Platinum models will be available by the start of the new year, with the LE models arriving in the first half of next year.

In 2025, the Grand Highlander and Grand Highlander Hybrid, the bigger of the two sets of Toyota Highlander mid-size SUV twins, became cheaper. This is because there is a new trim level called LE that comes after last year’s base model, the XLE. The base price of the 2018 LE model is $42,310, which is $2,460 less than the base price of the 2017 model. It costs $870 less than in 2024 to get the hybrid model, which starts at $45,660.

The 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Adds A New Model With Nightshades At A Lower Price

You can get the LE with either the non-Max hybrid system or the Grand Highlander’s regular 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which comes with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The price goes up to $45,660 if you pick the hybrid LE. In 2025, the XLE trim will come back with a slightly higher MSRP of $45,080.

This is also the first time that Toyota has sold the Grand Highlander’s Nightshade trim level, which costs $54,060. The new trim is based on the GH Hybrid Limited. The Limited has two electric motors and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with all-wheel drive that makes 245 horsepower.

With the Nightshade, the grille, mirror caps, wheels, door handles, and badges all have black highlights. On the inside, it has all the comforts of the regular Limited model, plus a free 11-speaker JBL Audio system.

The Hybrid Max cars will be back in the Limited and Platinum trim levels. They cost between $56,140 and $60,225 to begin with. The electric motor and the 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine in both models make 362 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

The changes include two new exterior colors, Heavy Metal and Cement, and a standard second-row console that can be detached on all levels with captain’s chairs except the LE.

LE versions are likely to be released in the first half of 2025, and Platinum versions will follow just before the New Year.
