• The 2025 Toyota Prius LE starts at $29,485, which is $400 more than the model from the previous year.
  • Prices go up from there. The base price for the top-of-the-line Limited trim is $36,500, which is the same as the $400 price increase for the LE.
  • In addition to the slight price increase, the only significant change for the 2025 Prius is the introduction of the Nightshade trim, bringing it in line with the rest of Toyota’s lineup.

It’s been about three years since Toyota released the fifth-generation Prius. This car turned the hypermiler from an ugly baby that was hard to drive into a truly beautiful one. The new Prius also got some driving spin by getting 73 horsepower.

The 2025 Toyota Prius Begins At $29,485 And Introduces A Nightshade Model

Toyota has officially revealed that the base LE model of the 2025 Prius will cost $29,485. The price increase only makes the bar $400 higher than last year’s model for the whole collection. The starting price for an XLE car with more gear and bigger wheels is now $32,930. The Limited trim, the most expensive option, is now priced at $36,500.

The 2025 Prius has a Nightshade trim, which is the only major change besides the price. The Nightshade, which is based on the XLE, has black hood trim, front door handles, and badges, just like all of Toyota’s other Nightshade models. There is also a unique color called Karashi that Toyota sells for the Nightshade.

This 194-hp hybrid system is in all Prius models except the plug-in hybrid Prius. It is driven by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine from the Toyota Corolla Cross, which runs on gasoline. It has two electric motors and an automated transmission that changes speeds constantly. The $1400 all-wheel-drive system adds a permanent-magnet electric motor to the rear axle, giving it two more horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard.
