The 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro model with rear-wheel drive starts at $46,520, which is only $220 more than the 2024 model. The 2024 model had a battery with 58.0 kWh, but VW only showed prices for cars with a 77.0 kWh battery, which added $5360 to the base price. All ID.4s will get new features around the middle of 2025, and the smaller battery will come later. Because the Volkswagen ID.4s were recalled for having broken door handles and sales were then stopped, only 646 were sold in the fourth quarter of 2024. Because of the sales stop, the total output dropped 55% from what it was in 2023. Volkswagen is only giving prices for cars with the 77.0-kWh battery, which means that the price of entry goes up a lot, at least for now, since the company is now giving prices for the 2025 model year. VW says that the 58.0-kWh battery will come back. The Pro with rear-wheel drive starts at $46,520, which is only $220 more than last year. The bigger battery is now the only option. The price goes up to $50,420 when all-wheel drive is added, and the wheels go from 19 inches to 20 inches. All Pro models come with automatic headlights, heated mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers. The all-wheel-drive model also has a tow hitch and a heated windshield. Inside, there is a standard 12.9-inch tablet, wireless phone mirroring, heated front seats, and a climate control system with two zones. The ID.4 Pro S is better. The base price for the rear-wheel-drive model is $51,620, which is $200 more than in 2024, and the base price for the all-wheel-drive model is $55,520. There is bling on the Pro S level, like 30-color ambient lighting inside, adaptive LED headlights, and lit-up Volkswagen logos on the front and back. Inside, there is a panoramic glass roof, warmed front seats, a 12-way power-adjustable seat with a memory function, and a heated steering wheel. The top model, the Pro S Plus, will now cost $58,720, a big jump from 2024 when it was only $54,600. This rise may be easily explained by the fact that the Pro S Plus no longer comes with rear-wheel drive and only has all-wheel drive. The Plus model has 21-inch wheels, gold bumpers and roof accents, and power-folding mirrors. There are also heated rear seats, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and three temperature control zones inside the cabin. Due to the fact that the 58.0-kWh battery is not yet ready in 2025, the ID.4 costs $5,360 more than the 2024 form. Once the entry-level battery comes back, the price will drop to around $42,000. Volkswagen has said that starting in the middle of the year, all ID.4 cars will get more content. Later this year, the smaller battery will also be back. It’s not clear if these improved versions will also be 2025 cars or if they will be the first ones of the 2026 model year. Volkswagen says that more information about the cars’ features and costs will be released later.
