The last Chrysler 300C has now left the factory. The company brought back the 300C speed model for its last year of production. It had a 6.4-liter V-8 engine from Dodge’s lineup and made 485 horsepower. The more somber 300 car should be finished being made by the end of the year. Now that the last Chrysler 300C car has been taken off the line in Brampton, Ontario, it’s time to honor an old favorite. After a two-year break, the company that makes the strong 300C model said that it would only be made in 2200 units, with 2000 going to the US and 200 going to our northern neighbors. Stellantis, the main company, says that all of the cars were sold out in just 12 hours after they came out last year. When it came out in 2011, the new 300 model had an eight-speed automatic gearbox and new electronics. In 2015, it was redesigned to include these features. After that, Chrysler seemed to remember about it when they chose to cancel it. The 300 and the 300C are very different from one another in a significant way. The 300 has a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that makes 292 horsepower, while the 300C needs 485 horsepower. In July, the Mopar V-8 sped our test car to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The 300 will only end for a short time, so this isn’t the end. Stellantis says that they will stop making the 2023 300 by December 31. The 300’s Dodge siblings have stated that there are electric (and maybe gas-powered) offspring, but the 300 has not. What that means is that an American icon will no longer be made after the end of the month.
