The Ford Everest Tremor is a better-equipped variant of the brand’s SUV, which is based on the Ranger pickup truck. With its new suspension system and Bilstein position-sensitive springs, the Tremor rides an inch higher than the old one. The Tremor now has General Grabber AT3 tires, a more durable front bumper with skid plates and tow hooks, and a new head with LED auxiliary lights. The Ford Bronco can handle rough terrain well, but it’s not as good for daily driving as the Jeep Wrangler because of features like the foldable roof. Outside of North America, Ford also sells the Everest SUV, which is built on the Ranger truck, as a midsize body-on-frame car. We’re even more upset that Ford has no plans to bring the Everest to Australia, where they already have an Everest Tremor model that is better for off-roading. The new Tremor model is an inch higher than the Everest. It has a track that is 1.1 inches bigger and 17-inch alloy wheels with huge General Grabber AT3 tires on them. The Tremor’s suspension system got all new parts, like new springs and Bilstein position-sensitive dampers with tanks on the outside. The Tremor also has a drive setting called “Rock Crawl.” There are different kits you can buy, like the Rough Terrain pack that adds a front hood that looks even meaner. The Tremor stands out from other cars because it has a blacked-out, beefier head with LED lights built in, a chunkier front bumper, a strong skid plate with built-in tow hooks, and heavy-duty side steps. As standard, the interior has all-weather floor mats and leather seats with the Tremor logo sewn into them. The seven-seat Tremor also has some great features, like adaptive cruise control, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and climate control for two separate areas. The Tremor’s 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel engine hasn’t changed; there have been no changes to the powertrain. With 247 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, the four-wheel drive system is powered by a 10-speed automatic transmission. The most weight that can be pulled is 7716 pounds. With the exchange rate as it is now, the Everest Tremor will cost around $51,400 when it starts being made in Australia this fall. Even though the Everest would be a strong competitor to Toyota’s newly improved Tacoma-based 4Runner, it doesn’t look like the SUV will ever make it to American dealerships.
