Front grille and headlights distinguish the 2024 Nissan Sentra. The Sentra has 7.0- and 8.0-inch touchscreen screens, unlike the Chinese Sylphy, despite minor interior changes. Nissan thinks the Sentra’s improved ability to start and stop the engine will help it get better gas mileage. Nissan is making small but significant changes to the 2024 Nissan Sentra to make it look better. Now in its sixth generation, the small, cheap car needed a makeover. Even though the US version doesn’t seem the same, we had a good idea of what might be different after seeing changes to Sentra’s cousin, the Sylphy, for the China market in March. How many changes to the Sentra depends on which trim level you choose. All models come with new headlights, front bumper, and 16- and 18-inch wheels. On the top-of-the-line SR model, there is a new color for the contrast stitching inside and a new rear bumper. Less can be seen of the changes on the inside. The 2024 Sentra includes infotainment screens measuring 7.0 and 8.0 inches, just like the Sylphy, despite the fact that the Sylphy has a significantly larger tablet measuring 12.3 inches. The improved CVT automatic transmission in the Sentra makes false “shift” patterns smoother. The already good fuel efficiency of the base 2.0-liter inline-four engine should get much better as a result of these upgrades to the powertrain, especially when combined with the engine’s newly acquired ability to start and stop. In the past, the Sentra received 33 miles per gallon for the SR model and 32 miles per gallon for the base model. However, the EPA has not yet disclosed its data about the vehicle’s fuel economy. The only significant change for the 2024 model is that Nissan’s Nissan Safety Shield 360 package of safety features will be included as standard. The company stated that the new Sentra will start at $21,725 for the model year 2024. The price rise for the middle-of-the-road SV, which starts at $22,655, is slight. The top-of-the-line SR, which starts at $24,815, moves the needle further.
