A few small changes have been made to the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross and hybrid version. Gas-powered and hybrid cars now have new grille styles, with body-colored mesh used on gas-powered cars. In addition to new wheel options and paint colors, the updated Corolla Cross now comes with a 10.5-inch touchscreen. Toyota’s smallest SUV is called the Corolla Cross. For the 2026 model year, the tiny ute also gets some small changes. Please get in touch with us if you can’t figure out what’s changed since last year. What’s New on the Corolla Cross? The hoods and grilles on both the gas-powered Corolla Cross and the hybrid Corolla Cross have been changed. The face of the first one looks rougher because it has a black rim and egg-crate mesh that looks like it was inspired by Toyota’s TRD cars. The grille on the hybrid version is the same as it was before. A lattice-like structure that matches the body color and looks like the front end of a Toyota Camry makes the nose look thinner. New paint jobs and unique wheel styles are common mid-cycle upgrades. The XLE trim is equipped with 18-inch dark gray wheels. The same wheels will be black if you choose the XSE trim. Regarding black accents, the Corolla Cross Hybrid SE and XSE now feature a Jet Black roof paired with a new Cavalry Blue exterior color (as shown above). Toyota has changed the center panel inside. There is now more space around the wireless charging point under the middle stack. The shifter is also brand new, and the matte finish on the ring around it should keep dust and fingerprints away better than the piano-black trim that was used before. A larger 10.5-inch touchscreen is offered on higher trim levels, while the 8.0-inch touchscreen remains standard. The regular Corolla Cross still has the same four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower because no changes have been made to the drivetrain. The gas-electric Corolla Cross is still available with the 196-horsepower hybrid engine. Toyota says that the hybrid will get 42 mpg on the highway, while regular cars would only get 32 mpg on the highway. All-wheel drive is normal on the Corolla Cross Hybrid, but the gas-only version can have either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Toyota has not yet announced the price of the 2026 Corolla Cross and Corolla Cross Hybrid. When they come out later this year, the gas version should start at around $26,000, while the hybrid version should start at around $30,000.
