The name “GT California Special” has been used since 1968, even though the new “GT/CS” package is probably just for looks. Soon, Ford will have another horse in its new Mustang range. This is based on a picture of a seventh-generation Mustang’s hidden grille that the company posted on social media today. A “GT/CS” badge is almost impossible to see. It’s a reference to the older GT California Special special versions of the nameplate.
