• Hyundai has said how much its new mid-size SUV, the Santa Fe, will cost in 2024.
  • The price of the new model is much higher than the old one because it comes with a turbocharged engine and a third-row seat as standard.
  • The most expensive choice is the loaded Calligraphy model, which costs almost $50,000. The base model costs $35,345, and the hybrid costs $38,345.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe costs a lot more than the previous model. It has a third-row seat, a turbocharged engine, and a completely remade exterior and interior. The new, bigger car starts at $35,345 for the base SE version with front-wheel drive. The base price of the 2017 Santa Fe is $5,260 more than the base price of the 2016 model. However, even the most expensive Calligraphy models cost less than $50,000.

The Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 is still less than $50,000, even though it costs more

Front-wheel drive, an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with 277 horsepower are standard on the SE ($37,845), SEL ($44,745), and Calligraphy ($47,895) Santa Fe models. Even though the off-road-focused XRT model, which starts at $41,995, comes with all-wheel drive, it costs an extra $1800.

A little more money is needed to buy the Santa Fe hybrid. The SEL starts at $38,345, the Limited at $45,245, and the Calligraphy at $48,395. For an extra $1800, you can get all-wheel drive, but front-wheel drive is normal. Hyundai has not yet given fuel economy figures for the hybrid, but they should be about the same as the 32–34 mpg range for the previous model. Hyundai says that hybrid cars will be available in American stores in the spring, but regular cars are already starting to show up.
