• The European model shown today is a sneak peek at how the Hyundai Tucson will look after its makeover in 2025.
  • The changes to Tucson’s outside aren’t immediately obvious, but the inside has been improved with a new dashboard.
  • The small SUV gets a parcel box, two 12.3-inch screens, and tactile buttons instead of the annoying touch controls.

The latest Hyundai Tucson looks a lot like the Lamborghini Urus in terms of how it looks. The new 2025 Tucson will go on sale in Europe early next year. This is our first look at it. It doesn’t matter if other people see the connections. The US version will come out later, but by then, its engine and price should be known.

Changes to the style

Hyundai says that the Tucson looks bigger because the front and back bumpers have been stretched out, and fake skid plates have been added. The unique integrated daytime running lights have also been added to a new bonnet that looks smoother than the old one. As usual, a mid-cycle change means getting new wheels, and the ’25 Tucson is no different.

There is no information about the engine choices for the Tuscon going to Europe so that the US version may be different from the European version. In the United States, the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine makes 187 horsepower and comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. You have the option of ordering it with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive depending on your needs. There is also a plug-in hybrid Tucson and a hybrid Tucson, both with 226 and 261 horsepower.

There will be buttons again!

Hyundai also wants to fix a problem with the current Tucson: the buttons are too easy to mess up. The fact that the new versions have real buttons shows that others thought the same thing. The dashboard has been completely redesigned, and there is now a new center console with a wireless charging station and what looks like more storage room in the front.

Two 12.3-inch screens, the same ones found in other Hyundai cars, are in front of the front seats. To their right is a new parcel shelf where they can store small things. Below that is a stylish feature that makes the dashboard longer and hides the HVAC vents.

Some of the buttons we already talked about control the climate system. On the front edge of the center-mounted armrest, there is now switchgear as well as a volume and tuning knob for the radio. The shifter has also been moved to a stalk on the steering column, and a new steering wheel has been installed.

As was already said, prices and other information that is important to people in the United States have yet to be made public. From the 2024 Hyundai Tucson, the new one will start at around $29K for the non-hybrid version and $34K and $40K for the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.
