• A mysterious teaser picture shows the 2025 Toyota Camry getting a makeover.
  • Toyota shared a picture of the front of a car that looks much like the Toyota Prius in terms of its lightning signature.
  • The second-generation Camry will come out the same year as the current model. It is supposed to have a more powerful hybrid powertrain.

Since a sample picture was released today, the public will soon see a new Toyota Camry. In the blurred picture, the front end of what looks like a car (rather than another crossover) can be seen. The back headrests are easy to see, so it’s a sedan.

The Mysterious Teaser says the 2025 Toyota Camry will look new

The Toyota Camry is coming soon

Based on other details, the car in question is the next-generation Camry. Our undercover photographer saw a fully camouflaged prototype Toyota car being tested earlier this year. The new ninth-generation Camry will be about the same size as the current model, ride on the company’s TNGA-K base, and have updated powertrains, but nothing has been confirmed.

The teaser picture and our spy shots don’t give us a good look at the 2025 Camry, but we can see a big Toyota logo on the nose, like on the Toyota Supra, and a unique lighting pattern, like on the Toyota Prius.

A movie Toyota put on YouTube last month accidentally showed off the 2019 Camry. The red car looked like other new Toyota models from the outside, but inside, it looked like the Toyota Crown and Prius. After the video was taken down, a Toyota representative told Invoice Pricing that the image had been mistaken and was not a sneak peek at the 2019 Camry.

Is Camry Hybrid better?

The next version of the Toyota Camry will undoubtedly come with a new set of powertrains. One will probably be a hybrid system, though Toyota now offers several other choices. Will the Crown have the scary 265-hp hybrid turbo four from the Toyota Highlander, or will it have the 236-hp all-wheel-drive setup? The base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine from the current Camry might stay in lower-level models, but we think something other than the 3.5-liter V-6 will.
