Chevy and GMC pickups get a lot more horsepower from Hennessey’s “Goliath 650” package than they did from the factory. The new blower package works with all 6.2-liter (L87 EcoTech3) GM V8 engines, like the ones in the GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado. The V8 pickups come with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, but Hennessey’s change makes them have 650 horsepower and 658 lb-ft of torque.

The new 650-HP supercharger kit from Hennessey for GM trucks is like an LT4 in a box

What does a 230-horsepower kit come with? The engine has chromoly pushrods, a crankcase ventilation system, a high-flow intake, and a high-flow intercooler. It also has a 3.0-liter blower. All of this is meant to work together to give the full-size pickup truck power that is almost as strong as a Corvette Z06. This is possible thanks to Hennessey’s engine software tuning.

They also sell the Goliath Off-Road kit for people who own a Sierra AT4, which is GMC’s off-road-focused truck. There are brand-new steel front bumpers, 20-inch wheels, and 35-inch off-road tires. There is also an LED light bar and an off-road suspension. Even though there are Silverado models that can go off-road, the Goliath Off-Road package is only available on the Sierra AT4. There is, however, a Goliath 650 kit that comes standard with every 6.2-liter V8 Silverado and Sierra.

Hennessey hasn’t said how much this package costs or when it will be available, but all of the improvements we’ve already talked about come with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. Customers can order Goliath kits from Hennessey or take their current pickups to Chevy or GMC dealers who are allowed to sell them.

This update could be a game-changer for many GM truck buyers, depending on how much it costs. This means that people who already have a V8 Silverado or Sierra can get a performance version without having to trade in their old car. It’s an LT4 update in a box.
