Mark Allen, the brand’s head designer, is Mr. Jeep. He kept the Wrangler brand’s history and added luxurious Grand Wagoneers and small electric Avengers to the range. Chris Benjamin, a well-known interior designer at Stellantis, ensured Jeep and the other North American cars had great interiors. The team has been reorganised to compensate for the big hole left by the two guys who left the company. Allen said he was retiring after 30 years. Benjamin left to become the design leader at Scout Motors, a revived American brand from the Volkswagen Group that makes electric off-road cars.

Chief Design Officer at Stellantis, Ralph Gilles, has already moved his team. Vince Galante, who has worked for the company since 2005, will now be in charge of how the outside of a Jeep looks. He is reworking the Chrysler AirFlow Vision idea and the Grand Wagoneer concept, among many other things. He worked for Allen for 12 years in his Jeep design lab.

After 20 years with the company, Ryan Nag ode was made vice president and responsible for interior design for the Jeep, Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler lines. Nag ode made the inside of the electric Ram 1500 Revolution concept and the more standard Ram 1500 REV full-size pickup truck that will be made in 2025.

Leandro Pinto has also been tasked with overseeing the Global User Experience (UX), which includes Uconnect as part of the Stellantis user experience. He is new to Stellantis. He joined the team in 2019.

Mr. Jeep Allen helped other businesses during his career, but he will always be known for his work with Jeep. The man was all about the brand. He was always interested, and it grew with each new year and model. And there were many of them as the company grew from three models in 1984 to a world powerhouse today. He knew how important it was to stay true to Jeep’s history when making iconic cars like the Wrangler and spreading the brand into new styles and markets.

During his time at Jeep, the Renegade and Compass were launched as small SUVs for cities. The Gladiator truck was fixed up, and the Grand Wagoneer was brought back as a full-size, three-row luxury SUV that is the flagship for its sub brand. Allen also saw Jeep enter the electrification age with its popular 4xe plug-in versions of the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. In Europe, the Jeep Avenger is the first car in the brand to be fully battery-powered. The Jeep Recon, a fully electric car like the Wrangler but not as good, and the Jeep Wagoneer S, whose real name hasn’t been released yet, are the next two cars on the list.

One of his other best things to do is make Easter eggs, hidden design gems in Allen’s cars for customers to find and enjoy. In addition to the models made, he also puts his name on many ideas. Each year, six new clothes were made for people who went on the Easter Jeep Safari. Allen’s big smile also showed how much he enjoyed competing off-road and talking to Jeep fans.

“Mark Allen has done a lot for the Jeep, Dodge, and Ram Truck brands and I want to thank him for that.” In a statement announcing the changes, Gilles said, “I hope that when he looks back on his career, he feels the same way we do, which is satisfaction for the legacy he helped build that people all over the world will appreciate for years to come.”

Ideas for Interior Design

Benjamin had an impact on the Stellantis names as well. Interiors got a lot better while he was in charge. Ram has won MotorTrend Truck of the Year three times. This is mostly because the cabins of its full-size pickup trucks are better than those of other brands. People in the business were also interested in the Grand Wagoneer and the new Grand Cherokee L interior projects.

Benjamin welcomed the EV era while working on the Wagoneer S and the Jeep Recon. The Wagoneer S is a midsize two-row electric SUV that joins the Wagoneer family. As a parting gift, he made changes to the 2024 Jeep Wrangler meant to make the interior more luxurious and comfy.

Benjamin just left the company to work for Scout Motors, a new American brand bringing back an old name from its International Harvester roots. Plans call for a tough all-electric SUV and pickup truck to be ready in 2026. Benjamin and his group will live in Michigan. The designer’s first job at Mercedes-Benz was to work on the inside of the Vision GST Concept, a car that came before the R-Class. The next place he went was BMW Designworks, and then he went to Volvo. In 2013, he joined Stellantis.
